Of course I read this on March 26th at 10pm CT bc I’ve been building all evening…

I can hardly contain my excitement for this workshop!

Interesting. I see the benefit. I'm like Jaime, and I don't need writing help. I'm also creating audio dramas and want to add video to them (in a cinematic way) to build my YouTube channel. That part is very time consuming. Can this kind of system help with that? It sounds like it would help more with the marketing/blogging side of being a writer, like an assistant. Not a bad thing but not really what I'm looking for. Also, I'd have to miss one of the Thursdays, as I'll be traveling. If that was a lab day, I'd be bummed. And I totally get the Ann/Nancy part. I actually once worked with a Nancy, but alas, neither of us could sing, but we did work well together. (I'm Ann btw)

Hey Ann! Great question. It actually get to what the heart of the class is about: systems thinking, workflow design, and knowing which tools to use when. So for your case, knowing how to build a repeatable production pipeline that takes your audio dramas and systematically turning it into video content - yup, I can help with that. This process will still need a human guiding it, but for sure and for certain, we can compress the time it takes to produce your videos. Does that make sense?

Yes, that's what I want, something to do the grunt work part but leave the heavy lifting & editing & creativity to me. I'm in!!!

About the missed class - I've got you. It's all recorded, I'm available for questions, and there are several who can't make it to every class. :)

HAHAHA...."There’s a pregnant pause."

Choked on my coffee.

RJ, you're brilliant, and I love you dearly...but I still don't understand, even after our long conversations. Thought I'd ask this here, in case anyone else is thinking the same thing and they can get their question answered also.

What does it mean "your Nancy — and built her instead?

Not some cobbled-together Frankenstein of fourteen apps held together with duct tape and wishful thinking. A real partner. Software, automations, chatbots, entire systems — built YOUR way, for YOUR people, around YOUR process."

I ask, because AI (as a subject) is so HUGE....how does a person even know WHAT they want or need? How do you find that?

Oh, and BTW -- thank you for recommending Claude.

I got a subscription, after one round of line edits! Fired chatGPT.

I'm the writer, not AI, so I wanted line editing without changing my story...and chatGPT would rewrite the chapter, at least to some degree no matter what I did. Just can't have that.

Claude was exact, told me what I did, what t suggested as the change and why, and DID NOT TOUCH MY STORY!

Perfecto.

I love you right back Jamie! Ok, here's the much clearer answer (I hope...)

In my business I've always had issues with things that aren't in my wheelhouse, or that are a genuine struggle for me to complete. I'm awesome at what I do creatively, but distinctly not awesome at the admin stuff that has to be done in every business. So I've hired software to help me. (Hello, Quickbooks. I know you're reading this.)

Every time I want to expand what I'm doing, I look for software to help me with the process. Because there's just not enough time in the day to do everything I need to do. Example: making merch for my world. The part I love? Design, baby! The part I'm not so good at? The mechanics of planning, listing, deciding prices, distribution - in short, everything else. So I just haven't had a real merch store. I do a design every once in a while and it just sits. That's just one example - this happens all over the place in my business. I'm one person with 24 hours in a day, and I do my best.

This is the state of things. And I think it's where many storytellers and entrepreneurs are - doing the best we can to find software to fit our needs. With some dreams dying on the vine because there's just not enough time.

The dream is this: finding software that complements my talents. Finding the Nancy to my Ann so we can go out there and light it up.

Everything changed for me when I figured out how to use AI to build that partner. It's been a lot of time and experimentation with my buddy Claude, and we're still on the road. There's much to be done, but I have a digital partner that doesn't sleep. And it's teachable.

I want others to have what I have. It's time. It's time to stop beating myself up for talents I don't have, and trying to wear all the hats in my business. Turns out, I wasn't meant to. None of us are. And now I have the digital support I need to make my dreams happen. The Nancy to my Ann.

I deeply hope this made sense, my friend. If not, reply or hit me up personally!

That makes total sense, RJ. That's where I'm at, the creativity isn't my issue...it's the mundane and organizational issues I have in running my business!

That,....and line edits. After paying a small fortune to human beings and consistently being let down and disappointed, I want another option.

Appreciate the side chat today....and I'm stoked about taking your course!!

Cya on Thursday!

I'm joining too!

Between you, me and Deleyna Marr, I think we'll ace this course!

This is gonna be so good! I'm already playing with Claude and you are sooo right about it!!!!

Jaime Buckley 💎's avatar

So now you see what I mean?!??

The results for me were night and day with Claude.

Just the fact that he leaves my writing alone made me happier =)

When chatGPT kept rewriting and messing with my stories, it scared me to death!
